Improving agri steps: Bank introduces new steps

Solar pumps schemes to be introduced among farmers so they could install pumps along the fields.

SUKKUR: Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) Sukkur Zone Zonal Chief Syed Ghulam Mujtaba Shah Rizvi has said that concrete steps are being taken to improve the agriculture sector and in this regard, different schemes have been introduced to facilitate the farmers.

He said on Monday that the main objectives of the establishment of the bank was to extend facility of soft loans to the farmers besides introducing modern technology so that the desired results in the agriculture sector could be achieved in an effective manner.

He further said that solar pumps schemes are being introduced among farmers so that they could install the pumps along the fields. The installation of pumps would help improve the agri production while dependency on diesel and electricity would also be decreased after utilising this technology, he added.
