Education city: Master plan to be ready by end of July

Project is spread over 9,000 acres.

KARACHI: The master plan for education city will be ready by the end of July, said Adviser Zubair Motiwala on Sunday at a meeting with representatives of builders and consultants ARCOP and CKS.

The project is spread over 9,000 acres and will have campuses for the Judicial Academy, Aga Khan University, Newports Institute of Communications & Economics, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology, Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation, Sindh Madressah, Quaid-e-Azam Public School, Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Ziauddin University and the Habib Foundation.

An independent authority will oversee its management and development, said Investment Secretary Mohammad Younus Dagha. The project will have daycare facilities, among others, and a commuter connection to the main city.
