ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered compensation for the families of the Tirah Valley bombing victims within 15 days.

"If the air force bombed the valley by mistake then who is responsible," Justice Nisar questioned. "Who can carry out this bombing?"

Justice Ejazul Ahasan said the bombing was carried out based on wrong information.

During the hearing, a defence ministry representative informed the court that according to official policy, the provincial government is supposed to pay the compensation money in urban areas but if there is a loss of live in FATA then political agents are supposed to pay.

The court decided to call those people who have to be compensated.

"Additional Chief Secretary FATA has to pay compensation," said the additional attorney general.
