Bollywood's Kangana Ranaut stunned crowds with her performance in 2008's Fashion. Featuring bride-to-be Priyanka Chopra in the lead role, the film helmed by Madhur Bhandarkar exposed the dark side of the fashion industry. Fashion managed to fare well at the box office and after celebrating 10 years of the film, the director has announced that he's ready for a sequel, reported Hindustan Times.

Madhur Bhandarkar speaks of 'amazing experience' in Pakistan

He said, "I have the concept of Fashion 2 ready with me. There are quite a few stories that I have in mind, all inspired from the real world. I always make films based on real life stories that are relevant to the society. So this time too, I won’t be shifting focus. But it’s at a very nascent stage and we will start developing the story and script sometime soon."

Bhandarkar added that he is currently working on another story but will get back to Fashion 2 soon after. While the film-maker has had many successful films, he has never experimented with sequels.

Speaking of another installment of Fashion, the 50-year-old director explained, "Making sequels never interested me. I want my films to end on a positive and triumphant note. But as far as Fashion is concerned, I had been thinking about the other stories related to the world."

He feels that Fashion is one film that people still watch. Bhandarkar was also all praises for his actors. He continued, "All my actors contributed to the film and did more than what was expected of them. Priyanka, Kangana and Mugdha Godse would deliver so well in front of the camera that it would amaze everyone. Now that the film turns 10, I am recalling all the memories."

From behind the lens, Madhur Bhandarkar reveals the truth

The Corporate director concluded that some of the scenes were really emotional for him to shoot. For example, "the one where Priyanka walks the ramp after being informed that Ranaut has passed away or where Kangana is walking confidently even after being hit by her boyfriend".
