‘Banking’ Security: CCPO meets bankers’ delegation

CCPO asked the members of the banking delegation to avoid hiring security agencies without proper prior vetting.

Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ahmad Raza Tahir on Monday met a 25-member bankers’ delegation in the CCPO office.


The meeting was also attended by DIG (Operations) Ghulam Mehmood Dogar, DIG (Investigation) Ali Aamir Malik, SSP (Investigation) Abdul Razzaq Cheema, SSP (Discipline and Inspection) Shariq Kamal, SSP (Administration) Tariq Abbas and SP (Headquarters) Romeel Akram. The CCPO directed the divisional SPs to ensure installation of CCTV cameras in all banks, money changers’ outlets, petrol pumps, financial institutions and business centres. He said that with the close cooperation and coordination of the banking community, banks can be provided foolproof security.

Tahir asked the members of the banking delegation to avoid hiring security agencies without proper prior vetting.

He also directed the divisional SPs to formulate a comprehensive strategy for deployment of security guards at all banks.
