The 48-year-old actor said, "It is a very unequal society. I don't think anyone will misbehave with my people. I don't know why I feel this way, but be it my mother or sister or wife, I feel people will not have the guts to behave inappropriately with them."

Saif explained that the society needs to come up with a solution that lets women feel safe. He added that if incidents of sexual harassment occur, which they shouldn't in the first place, then there should be enough understanding amongst the masses so that the victims can complain immediately without the fear of being wrongly judged.

"I hope the #MeToo movement stays in future and does not die down because it will create a comfortable atmosphere for everyone," he continued.

Apart from the #MeToo wave, the Dil Chahta Hai actor expressed concern over the growing paparazzi culture in India. He wondered how people could be so interested in his two-year-old son Taimur Ali Khan's life.

Saif confessed, "Media's constant attention to Taimur does not really bother me, but it would be better if it was not there. But I won't be interested in someone else's kids so much." He shared that while it's nice that his toddler makes people smile, he still fails to understand why so much attention needs to be given to a kid.

The Parineeta star likes to keep his distance from social media, even though Taimur is a star and other family members such as his sister Soha Ali Khan and sister-in-law Karisma Kapoor, are quite active as well. Speaking of online presence, Saif stated, "I could easily be on social media but I don't like the idea of it. I like my own world. There are many horrible people out there. We all should create our own world. I don't want to be the voice in one more loud market."

He added that after a certain amount of it time, it becomes an addiction and then people always tend to worry about what others think. "We should live our lives for ourselves. Putting a picture and waiting to see if someone likes it or not - what does it mean? I get my validation of how I feel but not from other people," the Nawab of Pataudi commented.

On the acting front, Saif has been on a roll. After wooing the audience with his role as a police officer in Sacred Games, his latest film Baazaar shows him as a rich Gujarati stock trader. The actor said that he had to change his voice, walk and look for the film.

On the kind of films that work at the box office nowadays, the Salaam Namaste actor shared that if he knew which films run successfully then he would only choose to sign those. However, he clarified that the box office collections do bother him but they never affect his confidence. "I know these things go up and down in life," concluded Saif.
