Health promise: Capital to get 4 new hospitals
The delegation was headed by Dr Petralia, who was accompanied by Dr Ramenghi and Dr Rosati. The delegation appreciated the efforts of the NICH team in view of the excessive patient load that the hospital caters to from all over the country. The hospital serves over 1,000 patients daily in its outpatient department. Nearly 50% of the patients are from outside Karachi and treatment is provided free-of- charge. They also admired the range of diseases that the doctors treated, including some rare ones which they had not seen in Italy. The team also expressed its desire to create a programme of mutual collaboration between the two institutions.
