Boys land in police station for after-school brawl

RAWALPINDI: A security guard at a local bank’s branch on Tulsa Road was found dead in the office’s bathroom with his pistol in his hand.

According to Civil Lines police, 24-year old Mohammad Shaan went to the bathroom and then a shot was heard, when people broke the door open, he was found dead with his pistol in his hand.

A police party of Civil Lines precinct, on receiving information, reached the scene and called in Rescue 1122 for moving the body to mortuary.

The body was later handed over the heirs after legal formalities. Police officials citing initial questioning from the staff at the bank’s branch said that Shaan was under extreme stress due to financial issues.

Separately, in the remits of Sihala police, students of Roots School came to fisticuffs in the parking area for settling a quarrel.

However, no one was seriously injured in the after-school brawl. A mobile of Sihala police reached the scene, broke up the fight and hauled away four boys to the precinct.

At the police station, both the groups reached a compromise and were allowed to leave with a warning.
