QUETTA: Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) central leader Haji Lashkari Raisani has said Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured the formation of a committee over the party’s six-point agenda.

Talking to a private news channel, Raisani said all political parties in the province and at the Centre must unite against the “interference of hidden powers in the administrative affairs”.

With regard to Nawab Aslam Raisani’s victory in the by-election, he claimed that Aslam Raisani would join the opposition parties to lead the movement for the rights of the people.

Raisani said the financial reserves of Balochistan were in surplus during Aslam Raisani’s government in the province. He added the previous regime looted the public money and kept the province deprived of development.

Referring to the July 25 general election, he said free and fair elections were the only way out of the financial crisis but the mandate of political parties was ‘stolen’.
