Hepatitis B and C screening: Nearly 94,000 police officers tested

Nearly 94,000 police officers have been tested for hepatitis B and C, while efforts are under way to complete the screening of the remaining officers. The Sindh inspector general of police (IGP), Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari, presided over a meeting with police officers on Sunday. AID Welfare’s Ali Sher Jakhrani said the last date for screening police officers for hepatitis was May 30 but they still have to screen officials who are training or on leave. The IGP said the remaining men must be tested so that the 100% target is achieved.
