The mosque is named in honour of the father of Bahria Town Country Head Shahid Mehmood Qureshi. Special prayers were offered for Bahria Town Chairperson Malik Riaz Hussain, Qureshi and his parents. The height of the dome is 56 feet and the minar [tower] stands at 136 feet. The mosque can accommodate approximately 1,200 people and it has a separate place for women with a capacity of approximately 100 women. The central hall and the area allotted for women is fully air conditioned.
