Security: K-P allocates Rs62.5b for police

KP Finance Minister Taimur Jhagra said that a budget would be provided to each police station in the province

PESHAWAR: The provincial government has allocated Rs62.5 billion for the police, prisons and judiciary of the province.

This is up by 14.7 per cent from the Rs54.5 billion allocated last year.

In line with a move undertaken by the last Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Finance Minister Taimur Jhagra said that a budget would be provided to each police station in the province while and new police stations will also be built across the province.

Moreover, the traffic warden system will be expanded to Abbottabad, Swat and Mardan districts.
