LWMC participates in cleanliness campaign

LAHORE: Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) officials conducted awareness drives and distributed waste containers among workers at UC-185 and UC-200 as part of the government’s Clean and Green Punjab Campaign.

The company aims to transform UC-185 and UC-200 into model union councils. LWMC Managing Director Farrukh Butt, General Manager Operations Sohail Malik and Head of Communication Jamil Khawar participated in the activity.

LWMC managing director said that the company is working hard to make the Clean and Green Punjab campaign successful. He highlighted the fact that LWMC distributed waste containers, hand carts and uniforms among workers.

He added that ensuring workers are available, addressing public complaints and lifting waste in a timely manner is the company’s priority.

GM Operations Sohail Malik maintained that LWMC is working around the clock to provide excellent cleanliness services. At the same time the people should also share some of the responsibility by disposing of trash in the bins that have been provided, he added.

A special activity was also conducted at Main Market, Gulberg. During the activity, an awareness camp was established while trash bags and pamphlets were distributed among the public.
