RAWALPINDI: Two suspects started fighting in the district courts lock-up on Monday. Police had brought Abdul Qadeer and Azhar Satee, both facing separate murder charges, to the courts for their respective hearing. Waiting for their turn, as per procedure, the prisoners were left in the courts’ lock-up, locally knpown as bakhshi khana. Soon they started fighting. Satee injured Qadeer with repeated blows of punches and kicks. The few cops present at the spot tried to stop them, but finding it impossible, they called in help from the Civil Lines police picket in the court premises. It took a dozen policemen to break-up the fight and lock-up the sworn enemies in separate cells. Police also called in Rescue 1122 to gve first aid to Qadeer.
