KARACHI: A local court approved the extension in physical remand of Waseem Khan, who stands accused in the murder of a minor girl, Aqsa. The victim was shot dead by a stray bullet at school. The hearing of the case was held before the district West Judicial Magistrate at the Karachi City Court.

The investigation officer (IO) requested for an extension in the physical remand by nine days, which the court granted. The IO informed the court that while the initial investigations showed the bullet was accidently fired by the suspect, the matter is being investigated further to decide whether the weapon was licensed or not.

According to the initial investigation, no enmity could be established between the suspect and the victim's family. The case of the incident was registered at Saeedabad Police Station.
