The song originally sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan becomes the first Pakistani song to have garnered the highest views, breaking all previous records of local compositions.
Momina took to Instagram to share a video of herself with Rahat, crooning the track.
"Thank you everyone for your love and support! Afreen becomes the first song in Pakistan to cross 200 million views" the Awaari singer wrote on Instagram.

The duo then went on to thank Coke Studio, Strings and Javed Akhtar (who penned the lyrics for this version of the song).
Previously, another Coke Studio hit qawwali, Tajdar-e-Haram, sung by Atif Aslam, crossed over 182 million views.
Coke Studio’s version of the famous song topped Pakistan’s most watch video on YouTube. Many other renditions of the track were made, and this latest one is probably our favourite to date.

Speaking earlier to The Express Tribune, Atif revealed, “Tajdar-e-Haram was actually produced by songwriter Shiraz Uppal.” The Dooriesinger had initially planned to keep the track for himself and had Shiraz arrange the music.
“When Coke Studio approached me, I thought why not perform it on the show,” he added. Atif further shared that he brought Shiraz on-board to give the producer a feel of Coke Studio.
