Drew Barrymore: Hollywood’s most ‘overpaid’
Adam Baron, a writer and political analyst was on his way to Cairo when he came across the article in an in-flight magazine called Horus. He clicked pictures of the piece and tweeted, "This interview with Drew Barrymore in EgyptAir's in-flight magazine is surreal."

Full of grammatical errors, the article is bylined by Aida Tekla and opens up in the most offensive way possible. It says, "Despite being unstable in her relationships most of her life and the busy life of stardom that dominated her life, Drew Barrymore has decided to temporary [sic] take an unlimited vacation to play her most crucial role as a mother."
It quotes the 50 First Dates actor as saying, "I would only resume my career when I feel that my daughters can depend on themselves."
The piece added, "Ever since then, she has been subconsciously seeking attention and care from a male figure but unfortunately things do not always go as planned and she has not yet succeeded in any relationship for various reasons."
It continued that psychologists deem her behaviour to be "only natural since she lacked the male role model in her life after her parents' divorce".
Tekla's interview also misquotes Barrymore's stance on the status of women and touches up on her weight after giving birth to a child. It claims that the 43-year-old actor said, "I feel overwhelmed when someone tells me that I have regained my image and managed to lose that extra weight. However, I find this a great opportunity to encourage every woman who is overweight to work on regaining her beauty and body."
A spokesperson of Barrymore revealed that the actor "did not participate" in any such interview and her team has contacted the airline's PR. EgyptAir has not responded to Huffington Post and no traces of Horus' authenticity have been identified either.

However, the airline tweeted, "This is a professional magazine interview conducted by Dr Aida Tekla, former president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) who is also one of the voting members of Golden Globes."
