ISLAMABAD: The speakers at a discussion on Wednesday agreed that the Paigham-e-Pakistan narrative was a true omen of tolerance, justice, equality and protection of rights. The discussion was held for promotion of interfaith harmony and co-existence in the light of Paigham-e-Pakistan between the high ups of International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and the delegation comprising of British Members of Parliament and National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR).

UK House of Lords Member Lord David stated that the world must combat the giant of ignorance, and attitudes such as prejudice should be discouraged across the globe. He hailed the University for the Paigham-e-Pakistan initiative and appreciated suggestions made through this narrative such as inclusion of the subjects of interfaith harmony and tolerance in curriculum.

House of Commons Member Marie Rimmer said that social media can be utilised as a constructive tool in society and it can further be used for dissemination of mutual cooperation in peace and tranquillity.

Justice (retd) Ali Nawaz Chohan maintained that Islam was misunderstood and Muslims would have to devise a well prepared strategy to let the world know about its actual message.
