Police and protesters clash: 5 policemen, 6 civilians injured

Demonstration held against the police for not arresting the killers of Aqib Zaman.

FAISALABAD:

Five policemen, including a DSP, as well as six civilians were injured, after a clash erupted between protestors and police in Faisalabad.

A demonstration was held in front of the Balochni Police Station, against the police for not arresting the killers of Aqib Zaman. Aqib, a resident of Faisalabad, was kidnapped and murdered in the jurisidiction of the Balochni Police Station two months ago.

The police fired in the air to disperse the mob, injuring five policemen and six protestors, while ten have been arrested.
