The two women were allegedly in a romantic relationship with the deceased and they are suspected of 'harassing' him to marry them.
The deceased was also married and an officer from Rajampuri police station revealed that his widow lodged the complaint against the women.

"The two women constables and the deceased were working together at Gandhinagar police station from 2012 to 2014," he said quoting the wife.
"When senior officials came to know about their relationship, they transferred all three to different police stations in the district. The deceased constable was posted at Ichalkaranji," he added.
The wife said that both women remained in contact with her husband even after their postings.

"Both women were forcing him to keep up the relationship. One of them even threatened the constable's wife to divorce him. Tired of the harassment, the constable consumed poison on September 24. He died on Saturday", the officer said.
The women have been booked under charges of 'abetment of suicide' and 'criminal intimidation' by the Indian penal court.
