Minister pledges to eradicate corruption

Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed said on Monday that a sound railways network is essential for national development, Radio Pakistan reported.

The minister made the remarks while speaking to a private media outlet. Rasheed pledged to bring about a marked department-wide improvement in the first 100 days of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)- led government. He also vowed to eradicate corruption.

Rasheed inaugurated a new Lahore-Faisalabad train service earlier in the morning separately. The service boasts both, air-conditioned parlour, AC and economy coaches.  The service fare stands at Rs500, 400 and Rs190 respectively.

Earlier on September 23, the minister said would be made the PR freight headquarters to facilitate business. Rasheed has also been striving to attract private investment in the sector. Train stations nationwide have been singled out on this account.

Found same pathetic,worst conditions of trains as it was 15 years ago.Dirty and damaged toilets.Toilets Sewage directly dropped on railway tracks.Smelly railway stations and tracks due to sewage water dropped on railway tracks.Looks Economy class of Pakistan Railway will be never change,it is final. Already 70 years passed! may be need 100 years for improvement. Why shouldn't blame India and Israel for this !
