Pakistani expat who bought life’s first lottery ticket wins $1m in Dubai

A Pakistani businessman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) got the biggest surprise of his life after buying his life's first lottery ticket at Dubai Duty Free and hit the jackpot, Gulf News reported.

Numan Arif, a businessman who hailed from Peshawar, recently tried his luck with a popular millionaire draw and bought a coupon online.

Numan was picked as the winner of the $1 million grand prize during a draw at the Dubai International Airport on Tuesday with a ticket number 0241

The 32-year-old, who runs his own bike leasing company, was quite thrilled about his newfound success.

“Thank you, Dubai Duty Free for providing this life-changing experience to become a dollar millionaire,” Arif said.

Arif is the 16th Pakistani national to have hit the Dubai Duty Free jackpot since the lottery began in 1999.
