'The Donkey King' trailer leaves nothing to look forward to

The recently released trailer of The Donkey King shows that the film will be a complete entertainment package.

The main character of the film is a donkey named Mangu voiced by Jan Rambo. Mangu is a launderer who has been selected as the next King of Azad Nagar - a fictional town in The Donkey King.

The story revolves around the donkey who is trying to bring a change in the kingdom but soon realises that it was a scheme by the clever fox to bring him in power for their advantage.

While one clip in the trailer did seem a bit insensitive towards the transgender community, it also featured US President Donald Trump as a hippopotamus. And of course, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was bound to be represented in the film as well.

Main characters of The Donkey Kong are voiced by the likes of Shabbir Jan, Sarmad Khoosat, Hina Dilpazeer, Jawed Sheikh and many others.

Although, The Donkey King trailer has outclassed itself in terms of animation, it also sums up the entire film leaving nothing to look forward to. The film will hit screens on October 13.

There is a lot to look forward to other than the trailer and I am witness to that. This is a 100% Pakistani movie made in Pakistan. Our media needs to be more responsible while reporting on the efforts made by our country men. Thank you.
