September 24, 2018

As fashion week is set to commence, we’re gearing up to see beautiful bridal couture and festive wear for the season. But it’s also time to start thinking about the big trends for 2019! Evolving silhouettes, prints, fabrics and styles have taken over the international runways giving us major inspo for the upcoming season. Here’s the 6 trends that caught our eye!

The Pursuit Of Colour

It’s time to go bold or go home. SS19 is calling all fashionistas to flood their wardrobes with brazen colours to sport the colour blocking trend. From eclectic teal to magenta pink, anything and everything goes. The bolder the better!

Hello Sunshine

The ‘it’ colour of the season has landed and it is sure to brighten up your day! Hues of marigold and honey were spotted on international runways and we can’t wait to update our wardrobes with hues of sunny yellow!

Mix and Blend

If you have a penchant for prints, then this season is yours! Clashing prints is about to become more flattering than ever before. Think stripes and florals, think polka dots and stripes; no rules apply.

Go Bold Or Go Home

Who says neons should be left for your highlighters? Splashes of neon were spotted across the runways. From Jeremy Scott to Milly, neon brights were incorporated in several collections. So get your hands on some neon and let your outfit do the talking.

The Fringe Effect

We’re taking cue from Tom Ford who set the ramp on fire at NYFW with extreme fringe! We’re not talking average fringe but floor-length fringe in every direction and colour.

All Hail The Power Suit

All hail the power suit and amen because it’s here to stay! Eighties power suiting has upped its game with suits in every hue and style. From sharply tailored suits to slouchy oversized blazers and bold patterns there’s a suit for everyone this season.
