Speaking of his failures, Ranbir said that in desperate times, you ought to have a good support system. "Be it your family, partner or friends — people who can keep you grounded and comfort you, besides giving you the confidence that it’s just a bend, and not the end," continued the 35-year-old star.

Ranbir stated that even during his bad time, there were people who thought of him as a good actor. However, Ranbir understands that since he was born into a film family, he was aware of all such things while growing up.

"I feel I am just an average actor and a below-average person, who just got great opportunities. Yes, I have confidence in myself that I can do something and that’s why I am successful. Otherwise, I am not saving the world," Ranbir explained.

Discussing the expectations people have from him after the success of Sanju, the Tamasha actor said, "It's always encouraging that people find that there's a potential in you, but then you also have to deliver. The idea is to be a part of films, which make a large number of people happy but at the same time, I want to do it my way."
