KARACHI:

The Somali pirates have agreed to extend the deadline for the ransom to June 11.

The ransom for the release of Pakistan hostages was transferred to the Egyptian shipping company’s bank account. However, there has been a delay in forwarding the money to the pirates because of the ongoing conflict in Yemen. After long negotiations, the pirates agreed to move the deadline from June 2 to June 11, Ansar Burney told Express News on Wednesday. They have been provided documentation to prove that the ransom was transferred to the shipping company’s account, he added.
