KARACHI: New York Fashion Week is in full swing and buzzing with eccentric style. While there are many designers making headlines with their creative new collections, supermodel Gigi Hadid's latest runway look has also got everyone talking.

The Pillowtalk star strutted the ramp for designer Oscar de la Renta's label, clad in an attire similar to a kurta pajama. Exuding its inspiration from the likes of India and Morocco, her garb consisted of a top constructed in a striped off-white fabric and flared bright yellow bottoms.

The kameez-resembling tunic entailed tie-up detailing around the neckline and overly long, shirt-style sleeves with unbuttoned cuffs. It also featured high slits down both sides with rounded-off hems.

Gigi's hair saw a slicked down middle-parting while her makeup gave off a daytime grunge vibe containing smokey eyes, bronzed skin and an orange pout.

Her accessories comprised a single hooped earring and necklaces including a long pendant and a shorter, jewelled piece both of which, blended in seamlessly with the attire. She also displayed a leather purse resembling a pigeon cage - which made quite the statement, must I add - as well as matching strappy sandals.

This isn't the first time the model has been spotted in an attire echoing desi vibes though. This year's Eidul Azha witnessed Gigi garbed in a bright orange asymmetrical piece, which she paired with fringed white cigarette pants. The top saw geometrical designs with a truck embroidered on the side.

I hope to see more such ensembles from the supermodel in the future.
