Energy: Women to be educated about conservation

Energy experts say consultation with women should be ensured as they are the ultimate users of energy.

Enhanced consultation with women and integration of gender needs and concerns in policies of government and private sector are essential to make the energy sector gender-responsive, experts said.

Speaking at the launch of Energia Pakistan, energy experts said consultation with women should be ensured as they are the ultimate users of energy, particularly at domestic level and that they should also be taught on energy-related issues.
