Bangladeshi woman cut off man's genitillia during alleged attempted rape, takes it to police station as evidence.

DHAKA: A 40-year-old Bangladeshi woman cut off a man’s genitalia during an alleged attempted rape and took it to a police station as evidence, police in a remote part of Bangladesh said Monday.

The woman, a married mother of three, was attacked while she was sleeping in her shanty in Jhalakathi district, some 200 kilometres south of Dhaka, on Saturday night, officers said.

“As he tried to rape her, the lady cut his genitalia off with a knife. She then wrapped up the genitalia in a piece of polythene and brought it to the Jhalakathi police station as evidence of the crime,” police chief Abul Khaer told AFP.

The woman has filed a case accusing the man, who is also 40 and a married father of five, of attempted rape, saying that he had been harassing her for six months.

The severed genitalia has been kept at the police station and the rape suspect was undergoing treatment in hospital.

“We shall arrest him once his condition gets better,” Khaer added.

    I salute this brave woman. Love the story. When in jail with hardened criminals, this man can have as much sex as he can handle. The child molesters and rapists are the lowest of lows in any jail and the population treats them accordingly!

    I wish it could happen in Pakistan too. Timve to wake up. Recommend

    excellent.Maybe if our women got such courage & took such action the number of rape cases would go down.i am sick of reading about small children getting raped daily in our country.maybe cutting off their genitalia would help to reduce these rapes.

    This technique should also be employed by the child brides who are forced to get married when they are only 9,10 years old.This is sickening paedophilia,nothing else,maybe if child brides starting cutting off male genitalia paedophiles would think twice about their intentions.Recommend

    Yes Ashwin, I totally agree with you. This brave woman should be given the Magsasay award. I wish she comes to the rape capital of the world, Delhi and delivers a few lectures on “how to do it” to the bloody rapists.Recommend

    @muhammad umair:

    Pakistani women should emulate Bangladeshi women in this end atleast.

    Although it’s really “very” hard both morally and practically.
