Demands: Gomal University teachers pitch protest camp

Protesters refuse to back down till their demands are heard

PESHAWAR: Gomal University Academic Staff Association (GUASA) on Saturday set up a protest camp in front of General Post Office (GPO) main bazaar against the university administration for challenging the appointments of 90 teachers hired 10 years ago.

GUASA President Shoab Gangohi, General Secretary Dr Shahid Kamal, members of other faculties, teaching staff and employees of the university were present in the camp.

The protesters on this occasion categorically made it clear that their protest would continue till their demands were not fulfilled. The protesters raised the slogan of save he university.

"Our agitation will continue against the attitude of the administration against university employees,” said Gangohi.
