CTPL starts traffic scout programme in Lahore

Programme has been initiated to sensitise the children about basic traffic rules

LAHORE: The City Traffic Police Lahore (CTPL) has started a Traffic Scouts Programme to create awareness among children about traffic sense and laws. Chief Traffic Police Officer (retd) Captain Liaqaut Malik said that the road safety unit had already been delivering lectures in public and private educational institutes, bus stops, rickshaw stands and trade centers. The Traffic Socuts Programme has been initiated to sensitise the children and under the programme, basic traffic rules are being taught to the students. First session of the programme has been completed at Jahan Ara School. At the end of the programme, DSP Old Anarkali Iqbal Hameed distributed certificates, caps, scarfs, and badges among over 50 students. The graduated scout children will educate their fellows about traffic at the opening and closing times of school, Malik said. He added children are our future and it is our responsibility to protect them.
