Government is making a comprehensive education policy that will address the challenges in education sector

ISLAMABAD: Government is making a comprehensive education policy that will address the challenges in education sector, said Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood.

“We will ensure quality education and provide level playing field and equal opportunities to everyone,” he said during a meeting with Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director Xiaohong Yang who called on him on Wednesday. The meeting was also attended by Federal Secretary Education Arshad Mirza.

According to a press release, Mahmood said that Pakistan is currently facing various challenges in education sector and that the government is fully committed to resolve these issues.

“Among the challenges are different streams or systems of education that are elite schools, private schools, govt schools and then religious schools or maderassas,”.
