Sessions Court: ‘Court boycott to continue till security improved’

The LBA will continue its strike until the chief minister fulfills all the promises for better security.

The Lahore Bar Association will continue its strike and boycott court proceedings until the chief minister fulfills all the promises for better security he made during a meeting on Monday, LBA president Shehzad Hassan Shaikh said.


He was speaking to the press at Aiwan-e-Iqbal after meeting the chief minister to discuss security arrangements at the sessions court following the killing of two murder accused inside a courtroom on Saturday.

He said Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had promised to get the boundary walls raised to eight feet and place barbed wire on top of the walls.

He said Sharif  also promised to that the Elite Force personnel would be deployed at the sessions courts, especially with judges who were hearing murder cases, that a Quick Response Force post would be set up and extra security would be maintained during working hours;and Baba Ground would be opened for parking purposes.
