LAHORE: Only 129,000 candidates out of a total of 258,000 passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-I exam, while female candidates scored better marks as compared to their counterparts.

The results were announced by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore on Monday. The total pass percentage was calculated to be 50.19%. Out of the female candidates, 59.40% were successful in the examination out 125,726 candidates who sat for the exam.
