MULTAN: Commissioner Multan division Nadeem Irshad Kiyani has ordered the Multan Development Authority (MDA) to get cases registered against unlawful housing societies and imposes heavy fines on them.

"Building home is a wish of all and nobody should be allowed to defraud in this regard," the commissioner said while chairing a briefing on illegal housing societies on Friday.

Earlier, Director General MDA Dr Faisal Zahoor and ADG Rana Rizwan Qadeer briefed about the MDA building bylaws and the rules and regulations about controlled areas. He recommended for cancelling all such house societies, whose development work has not been initiated even after passage of six months after approval.
