132kV grid station opens at Soraj Miani

MEPCO CEO says the project was completed at a cost of Rs180 million

MULTAN: The second unmanned 132 kV grid station has been inaugurated at Soraj Miani, a Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) official said on Thursday.

MEPCO CEO Muhammad Akram Chaudhry said the project was completed at a cost of Rs180 million. He added that two new power transformers of 20/26 MVA had been installed to ensure an uninterrupted supply of electricity.

He said the first unmanned 66 kV Bukhashan Khan grid station was established last year. He maintained that after the establishment of the grid station at Bukhashan Khan, a decline had been noticed in electricity issues.
