The statement was made by senior PPP leader Syed Khursheed Shah while speaking to the media in Islamabad. Earlier, the party had revealed that it was not in alliance with the PML-N in the Punjab.
Pandemonium in Punjab Assembly as voting for top slots underway
Earlier, PPP MPA Hasan Murtaza had said the party would only be sharing opposition benches with the PML-N. The party would not support the PML-N chief ministerial candidate either, he said.
“We will support the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in their positive governance initiatives and we will support PML-N when they will raise fair objections". Murtaza further said that there will not be undue support for the government or for the opposition.
Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto had convened a meeting on August 14, a day before the Punjab Assembly's maiden session.
The PML-N, on the other hand, also convened a meeting of its MNAs in Islamabad on August 13. A meeting of the party’s elected MPAs from the Punjab was held in Lahore the same day.
