Legal action: RDA issues legal notice to housing scheme

The MP&TE Director said that the housing scheme has not been approved by the RDA

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has decided to take legal action against an illegal housing scheme which issued advertisements and conducted marketing campaigns.

Notices have been issued to the sponsors of the illegal housing scheme.

The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Director Jamshaid Aftab said that the housing scheme has not been approved by the RDA, therefore, as per law, the scheme is illegal.

RDA has warned the public that without getting the required NOC from RDA for the launching of the housing schemes, apartment projects, commercial buildings within the RDA controlled area all sorts of advertisement, marketing and development of such projects through advertisement agencies, private limited companies, civil proprietorships is illegal.
