LAHORE: Rescue 1122 has started training senior and junior patrolling officers from National Highways and Motorways Police (NHMP) on accident and emergency response.

NHMP staff is being trained by master rescue trainers to provide timely first aid to victims of road crashes.

Addressing the participants of the course, Rescue 1122 Director General Rizwan Naseer said that the commitment and professionalism of NHMP officials is worth appreciating.

The joint venture was started on the directives of NHMP Director General Aamir Zulfiqar in order to provide an effective emergency response for emergencies and accidents occurring on the highways and motorways.

“In most emergencies, law enforcement officers are the first responders who not only manage the scene but also minimise damage by utilising their basic emergency management skills,” he maintained.
