LDA employees to donate two-day salary for Diamer-Basha dam

Authority reveals plans and schedule for the Independence Day celebrations

LAHORE: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General Amna Imran Khan has announced that all the officers of LDA working in grade 17 and above would donate their two-day salary to the Supreme Court of Pakistan for Diamer-Basha and Mohmand Dam Fund while the officials working up to grade 16 would contribute their one-day earnings for this national cause.



Meanwhile, LDA has chalked out a schedule for Independence Day celebrations. Fireworks would be held at Aleem Dar Cricket Academy, Johar Town and approved private housing schemes in the city on the evening of August 13. A concert of national songs would be arranged by Al-Jalil Gardens Housing Scheme, Sharqpur Road, district Sheikupura on the same evening.

A grand concert of national songs would be held on the evening of August 14 at National Hockey Stadium as well as LDA Sports Complex, Johar Town. A floodlit cricket match would be held at Aleem Dar Cricket Academy while a hockey match would be held at Hockey Stadium at Johar Town. Concerts of national songs would also be held in the approved private housing schemes in the city.

Transfers

LDA Director General Amna Imran Khan has posted Abdul Shakoor (PMS/BS-19) as additional director general (headquarters) LDA. He has further been directed to look after the work of the posts of additional director general (housing) and additional director general (urban planning) until the posting of regular incumbents.

Additional Director General (HQ) Lahore Development Authority Abdul Shakoor Rana has transferred four officers. Kanwal Qayyum, an assistant director working in directorate of administration, has been transferred and posted as administrative officer-I while Sadaf, an assistant director, has been posted as administrative officer-II.



Shahzada Jawad Kamran, an assistant director working in the office of additional director general (HQ) has been transferred and posted in administration directorate as assistant director (bills). Adnan Shahid, a staff officer working in the office of additional director general (UP) has been transferred and posted in the office of additional director general (HQ), LDA.
