FAISALABAD: Only 38% of the children under six months old in the country are breastfed and this is one of the primary causes for malnutrition in growing children, said speakers at a seminar held on Tuesday.

The seminar was held at the National Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFSAT) at the University of Agriculture and was part of World Breastfeeding Week organised by the faculty of food, nutrition and home sciences. An awareness walk was also arranged which started from the administrative block and ended at Iqbal Auditorium.
