Additional DC wants security around official buildings, offices beefed up

Like in other parts of the country, Independence Day preparations continued in full swing in Chaghi district.
In this regard, a meeting was organised by the district administration to review security arrangements for the Independence Day, headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Zafar Iqbal Reke.

In the meeting, various department officers apprised the additional deputy commissioner about the Independence Day programmes and festivities to be held in their departments.
The district management as well as educational institutions have planned a series of events in connection with the Independence Day.
Flag-hoisting ceremonies, seminars, independence walks, and folksong performances, dramas on freedom struggle as well as photographic, painting, poetry and debate competitions have also been planned.

The additional deputy commissioner said all official and private buildings, roads and avenues would be illuminated and decorated with national flags, portraits of national leaders, banners and buntings to give the district a festive look.
He urged to make security arrangements more stringent around official buildings and offices on Independence Day.
The participants of the meeting said, “Freedom is a great blessing. We should respect this independence and liberty gifted to us by Allah Almighty and play our full role in combating conspiracies designed against Pakistan.”
