The project is being constructed by the China Power Hub Generation Company, which has been established with the coordination of China Power International Holding and Hub Power Company. Producing electricity from coal will ease the burden on the power sector and bring down the circular debt.

About 1.3 million tonnes oil being spent on the generation of electricity yearly would be saved as the country spends a massive amount on importing oil.
