LAHORE:
TDAP Region Division (central) Director General Riaz Ahmad held a meeting with Ahmad Mao, COO of Longer Development Private Limited, an investment consulting company for Qingdao municipal, China, for the establishment of a display centre (a duty free/free zone area). The centre shall be sponsored wholly by the city's provincial government for the promotion of Pakistani products in Qingdao, China. Qingdao, a major coastal city in the Shandong province, is a leading industrial hub of China and is ranked the third largest in terms of GDP, behind the northern cities of Beijing and Tianjin. TDAP DG said that under the initiative of "emerging Pakistan" by the Ministry of Commerce, such a venture would be a positive step towards promoting Pakistani products in Qingdao, as well as other adjoining areas in China. The display centre facility will provide free-of-cost services to Pakistani exporters to showcase their products and the warehousing facility will also help reduce the supply time of their products to importers in China.
