Police bust 5-member gang

ISLAMABAD: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a five-member gang involved in looting people while impersonating as policemen. All the gang members were from Karachi, police said. The arrested suspects include Sikandar Khan, Mustafa, Hussain, Wali Khan and Muaddar were all involved in the muggings. Two cars were also recovered from the gang members; one Honda and one Corolla as well as four 30 bore pistols. Five cases have been registered against the accused. Police said that during the initial investigation, the suspects admitted to having committed 11 robberies in Islamabad, in areas such as Karachi Company, Abpara, Industrial Area, Rumna, Shalimar and Kohsar.
