Infrastructure: Swabi-Mallara Bridge inaugurated

The bridge was inaugurated by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Ushr.

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Ushr Haji Zarshid Khan on Tuesday inaugurated the construction of the Rs8.5 million Swabi-Mallara Bridge. Addressing a public gathering at Shelkhi Banda which was attended by local elders and party workers, he said construction of the bridge would reduce the difficulty and hardship of people in the area, which was increased manifold due to the destruction of the bridge in last year’s floods. He said that exemplary developmental projects have been completed in Swabi District as the government knows the importance of development in raising the living standards of people. Zarshid said that Rs700 million have been approved for the Swabi Bypass Road, which would connect Topi, Jehangeera and Mardan. He said that Golo Dehri Agriculture Research Institute has been approved and 18 colleges in Swabi have been constructed for providing education in the area.
