A man and his son were killed, while four others suffered serious bullet injuries over a family dispute in the Alipur Chathha police station jurisdiction.  According to police officials, the relatives of Munir Ahmed were present in his house at Kot Deval where a fight broke out between Ahmed and his brothers Javed Iqbal, Zafar and others. Following the quarrel, Iqbal and Zafar, along with 15 other accomplices opened fire on Ahmed and his family.


Munir, his son Nasir Ali, wife Sughran Bibi, daughter Sumera Bibi, Musharaf Bibi and Adeel Ahmed sustained serious injuries in the encoutner.

The injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital where Ahmed and Nasir Ali died, while the condition of Adeel has been reported to be serious. The accused managed to escape.

An FIR has been registered and investigations started to probe the matter. Police have handed over the bodies after completing the necessary formalities.
