ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Chamber of Small Traders (ICST) said political developments and economic situation will not harm progress of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), adding that recent events will fail to derail the world’s biggest ongoing developmental project. The inauguration of Pak-China Optic Fibre Cable Project is a positive development which will increase business, employment, boost telecom industry and reduce dependence on the submarine cable, said ICST Patron Shahid Rasheed Butt. He added that all elements opposing CPEC have failed to slow its pace. “Foreign media recently started a campaign against the project but China’s timely intervention put everything to rest,” said Butt.
