Ombudsman committee seeks inquiry

Committee discusses all aspects related to fire incidents in Margalla Hills to deliberate precautionary measures

ISLAMABAD: The second meeting of the committee constituted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan under the chairmanship of the Wafaqi Mohtasib in the human rights case regarding fire incidents in Margalla Hills was held at the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat, Islamabad on Monday. During the meeting the committee asked the chief metropolitan officer to submit inquiry reports of recent fire incidents in Margalla Hills. It was also decided that relevant authorities would prepare a draft of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for preventing and handling future fire incidents. The Committee discussed all aspects of the issue of fire incidents in Margalla Hills National Park to deliberate precautionary measures.
