Welfare of the working class top priority: AIOU VC

AIOU VC said that welfare of the working class would remain his top priority

ISLAMABAD: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Shahid Siddiqui Friday said that by upgrading academic status of the university, welfare of the working class would remain his top priority.

Speaking at an event held here on retirement of the university's three gardeners, Mukhtar Mashi, Abdul Sattar and Barkat Hussain Shah, the VC said there had been an excellent relationship between the management and employees' union during the recent years that paved the way for achieving required targets in the academic field and improved working conditions.

Dr Shahid Siddiqui spoke highly of the excellent performance of the gardeners in giving a beautiful look to the university's premises.

Employees Welfare Association President Sajjad Janjua highlighted workers' welfare work completed during the tenure of the incumbent vice chancellor.
